Moving people with safety and security in mind

In 1971, The Interaction Group pioneered the airline safety information card, creating an easy-to-comprehend instructional graphic style that communicated critical information to users across the globe. This same communication style can also be applied to train travel, maritime industries, automotive, and cycling.

CASE STUDY
Maritime Employee Training Yields Safety and Savings

The Client Challenge: A private maritime company with 40 vessels needed to safeguard its 360 employees. The CEO was concerned about safety training of all employees and wanted to mitigate onboard risk as a part of their emergency management system.

The Interaction Group Solution: We conducted an assessment of the client’s training processes and employee knowledge of both basic and complex emergency procedures. After an analytics report, we partnered with the shipping company to create a full training program, including a manual with illustrations and ship placarding.

Success/Savings: Financial savings were felt on their cooperation liability insurance rates and L&I rates. The company had a dramatic reduction in L&I claims and to date still uses our training recommendation and illustrations to protect the health and safety of their employees.
